Revamped Charlie’s Angels TV Series to Air Soon

Gone now are the characters we had gotten used to recently: the nerd, the punk and the socialite that were showcased in the last Charlie’s Angels movies. Instead as the storyline goes, since many recruitments of Angels happen upon someone else’s retirement, new characters would come into play.

This generation may have had a whiff of Charlie’s Angels via the movies that starred Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.

However Charlie’s Angels started as a television series in 1976 that had five seasons under its belt. It was one of the most successful series of the 70s because it was the first television show to showcase women in roles originally given to men. This was one of the most successful shows that Tori Spelling’s father, the late great Aaron Spelling, produced. The original stars were the late Farrah Fawcett, Jacqueline Smith and Kate Jackson.
