Christina Aguilera, 30, and her set assistant boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, 25 (whom she started dating 2 months after recently separating from music marketing executive-husband Jordan Bratman), added more salt to the already tarnished image of the former Disney star, four-time Grammy winner and one of music’s greatest voices when they were both arrested the other night for driving under the influence.Though it was Rutler (who was driving Aguilera in West Hollywood) was the one arrested for driving under the influence Aguilera was also taken into custody because the petite singer “was not capable of taking care of herself” reportedly not being able to stand without assistance, not being able to remember her name and not even being able to answer where she lives during police questioning.
Though it was said that Aguilera wouldn’t be charged (but she would now have an arrest record) LA Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said her mugshot wouldn’t be released. It is common knowledge that the media can publish mugshots of high-profile people in high-profile cases. However, that mugshot was leaked today.Rutler left jail on a $30,000 bail while Aguilera went home for only $250.
Aguilera was driven to her house after passing a sobriety test the following morning at around 7:30 am.
